“Hello there! I am so glad you found your way to Secrets of the East. It started as a small idea in the back of my head when I was taking a break from my career as a Social Worker to focus to my mental and physical wellbeing. It was long overdue that I slowed down and journeyed inwards. Through the quiet and calm that followed with days spent reading, painting, taking walks along the lake near my house, meditating, doing yoga, eating delicious home-cooked meals, cuddling with my cats, I was drawn to create something that combined all of my life’s passions in one.
And there came Secrets of the East ~ a place where I can bring together my passions for culture, sustainability, fashion, nature, wellness, social justice, and empowerment. I envision a world where the wellbeing of our planet and its people comes before profits. I believe that even the smallest personal decisions, such as consciously selecting our garments, can profoundly impact people’ lives, ensuring fair and ethical treatment. I also want to celebrate natural evolution and changes in our human bodies, the beauty of ageing, embracing these elements, instead of allowing arbitrary standards set by the fashion & beauty industry to diminish people’s self-esteem. That is the kind of world that I want to be a part of and through Secrets of the East, I want to make sure that I play my part in cultivating that world.”
